Samm Bones: Banjo, vocals

Samm Bones, a traveler, writer and musician. Fresh off her debut album release on Farmageddon Records ‘Can’t Sit Still.’ And her publication of her novel ‘Heavy Metal Meditation.’ Her whiskey soft voice, blues slide banjo playing with punk undertones to her album. You can hear her tales of ragged travel as if you were right there with her.  She is based between Alaska and New Orleans. Where she lives in both extremes. Giving her writing the chaotic spin of the city, but whispers along with the wild. Her novel will paint you a perfect picture of a travelling young woman with no direction until she finds music.

Bon Scotch (NL)

Bon ScotchBand. 70’s Hardrock, AC-DC cover band (Bon Scott songs only)
Mari Maas: Vocals
Geert Sanders: Drums
Michel Joosten: Guitar
Mario Peeters: Guitar, vocals
Theodoor van Heugten: Bass, vocals

You might think; why a 70’s Hardrock band in Chulahoma Tour support’s roster? Well, I started my musical journey in the early 80’s, AC-DC with Bon Scott was, and still is, one of my al-time favorites. I’ve seen and heard a lot of AC-DC cover bands in the years that folowed, some better than others, but never before a band that came so close to the original AC-DC sound like BON SCOTCH. This band plays Bon Scott songs only…. Book ‘em and you’ll understand why!
Since the band was founded at the end of 2009, Bon Scotch has undergone a considerable evolution. From local bars to the bigger venues, packed festivals and several shows abroad, everyone is quite impressed by this rendition of the AC / DC 70’s sound.
Bon Scott is no longer among us, but you would almost forget when listening to Bon Scotch. A show with all the songs from the Bon Scott era, and a sound that’s almost a good as the real thing; there’s no better way to lull you back into 70’s than at a show with Bon Scotch.
It’s A Long Way To The Top, If You Wanna Rock ‘n’ Roll!!

Black River Bluesman & Bad Mood Hudson (FI)

Black River Bluesman & Bad Mood HudsonDuo. Blues, Psychoblues, Garage Blues

Jukka Juhola: vocals, Lowbow guitars
Antti Huttunen: vocals, drums

Black River Bluesman & Bad Mood Hudson play their Blues in the deep woods and frozen swamps of the muddy Black River Delta way up North in cold Finland. Their unrefined, electric Blues have been compared to the rough sounds of the Mississippi Hill Country artists as well as to anything between Tom Waits and Black Keys or psychoblues and garage. Whatever the influences may be, they play their animal Blues with no compromises – just the way they  feel.
Black River Bluesman has always walked his own path, producing his uncompromising and original Altblues with little regard for the mainstream.

Black Hammer VoodooBand. Blues, Psychedelic blues (Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Jimi Hendrix)
Michiel van Leeuwen: bass, zang
Sam Shine: gitaar, zang
Pall Gudmundsson: drums

In the hot winter of 2015 singer/bass player Michiel van Leeuwen left Rusty Apollo to go on a new mission. With a pile of new songs in his pocket he found his old pal ‘Raggende Man’ Pall Gudmundsson willing to lay out the rhythmic foundation. Sam ‘Smokehouse’ Shine, fled from down under, offered his services as guitar magician and BLACK HAMMER VOODOO was born.
They play solid bluesrock with a psychedelic touch. With this they call the spirits of forefathers like Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, John lee Hooker, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. These high priests brew a boiling Elixir of originals and very special versions of highlights of the blues tradition. Black hammer Voodoo is ready to enrich the world with ceremonies of ’Night Dancing’ and ‘Deep Dark Shit’!

61 GHOSTS (USA)

61GhostsBand. Roots-Rock, Badlands Americana.

Like the highway it’s named after, the musicians of 61 Ghosts, have collectively done their time on the road. 61 Ghosts is an edgy roots- rock, Badlands Americana, three-piece band, combining the talents of singer-songwriter Joe Mazzari, drummer Dixie, and bass player JD Sipe.
Joe Mazzari began writing roots-rock music in his 20s, influenced by John Hiatt, Bob Dylan, Link Wray, Rory Gallagher and the Delta blues musicians.
He also recorded and toured with Johnny Thunders of the NY Dolls and the Heartbreakers fame for three years, and appeared on three of Johnny’s albums.
After drummer Dixie stumbled upon a film documentary called “Deep Blues” and hearing, for the first time, Mississippi hill country blues legends Junior Kimbrough and R.L. Burnside, it changed her life so much, Dixie vowed to teach herself to play drums in the style of her newly found heroes.
J.D. Sipe has played his signature swampy roots music in bars, saloons and dancehalls throughout the Midwest and southern states for more than 40 years.

The Mighty Yaya (NL)

The Mighty YayaBand. Stonerblues, garage rock/blues.
Louis van Empel: guitar, vocals
Aart van der Wulp: harp
Harmen de Bresser: bass, vocals
Gabriël Peeters: drums

The Mighty Ya-Ya has landed again, bringing its second album: “Magnum Sonus”.
And it’s a BIG, BIG, BIG sound indeed! Way heavier than its predecessor.
Garagerock with a twist, stonerblues or completely-over-the-top, call it what you want but the Ya-Ya tells it like it is: ever groovy, perpetually rockin’ and dripping with tons of soul…
Say what? Well, like QOTSA and John Lee Hooker recording to the same mic. Tom Waits in full Zulu-dress leading a seventies Afro-beat combo. Jack White and King Crimson thumping a one-chord rock opera with all amps turned beyond healthy and Arthur Lee Love disassembling “Stairway to Heaven” assisted by a gang of Cossacks.
Strap in and experience the Mighty Ya-Ya slammin’ its drums, rattlin’ its strings and blowin’ its reeds into orbit, disregarding a safe reentry into earth’s atmosphere. To ignorantly go where no man has gone before: 12 tracks of ferocious energy traveling the stratosphere at supersonic speeds.
So put that needle in the groove: here’s something that’s gonna make you move!

Teleferik (F)

TeleferikThree-piece band. Rock, garage rock, alternative rock.
Eliz Murad: vocals, bass
Arno Vincendeau: guitar
Olivier Hurtu: drums (also Jesus Volt).

Teleferik is a French rock band based in Paris. Finalists at the Sziget France, and initially a duo. However they’ve always been accompanied by a drummer. Olivier Hurtu (Jesus Volt) has been a member of the band since 2014. He plays drums on the band’s first full album Lune Electric, released October 9th 2015. Former drummers were: Lawrence Clais (Phoenix, De La Soul), Imari Kokubo, Joe Babiak ( Michael Angelo Batio, Kill Hannah, Cage9).
Eliz began to sing by listening to soul and rock music since her childhood. Today she keeps this faith and brings the heat on stage. Influenced by some Rock bands of the 70s as a teenager, in the studio or on stage, Arno became a storyteller.
Teleferik is a new rock combination of these two routes.

Lune Electric is Tleferik’s debut album. The fruit of their previous Ep’s and 4 years of maturation. The album includes 10 tracks. The songs are sung in English, French and Arabic, recorded and mixed by Peter Deimel (The Kills, Anna Calvi), and mastered by Golden Mastering Studio ( Calexico, Ty Segall, Charles Bradley).
