Hollowbelly (UK)

 HollowbellySolo. Lo-Fi Punkblues
Hollowbelly: vocals, cigar box guitar, banjo, drums, harp.

Hollowbelly was born in Warrington, an industrial town in Northwest England. He started treading the boards early, playing literally hundreds of gigs on the northern working men’s club circuit. The authorities granted a special license enabling him to work despite his age – he started when he was just eight years old.

Television and radio work followed, as did a spell in intensive care during a near death bout of meningitis, which left the fourteen year old with an inability to see in 3d.

Age sixteen, punk hit. Teenbelly began playing in a few punk bands, moving down south to live in London in the early eighties. Many hospital visits followed, culminating in a series of operations which resulted in the removal of his large intestine, hence the name Hollwbelly.
Now fifty, Hollowbelly refuses to lie down quietly. He continues to play shows in London, Rome, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Bremen and countless other venues around the UK and Europe.

He sings, plays cigar box guitar, banjo, harp and drums, a truly multi talented guy. The best way to define his music is Lo-Fi Punkblues. Be amazed by what 1 person can cause on a stage.

Yessir, speed, psychosis and cbg’s… Hollowbelly ain’t slowing down any time soon
